QUINN-chemicals was established in 2006 and is currently constructing a MMA production facility. The QUINN-chemicals MMA plant is the first to be constructed in Europe in recent decades. The plant will utilise the most modern and environmentally friendly technology available which was developed in Japan.

Leuna was selected as the location for the MMA plant due to its favourable location in the centre of Europe, established infrastructure for the chemical industry, availability of land for development and experienced workforce.
